Deluxe Nature Explorer Set

My 3 year old son received this for a Christmas gift this year. He was very excited about being a 'nature explorer'. However, after a few days of light use the binoculars came apart where the brown "lens" piece connects to to body of the binoculars. The remainder of the items have held up after 6 months of use. My other concerns are the string around the binoculars being a choking hazard if a child wears it around their neck and the bug observer looking way too much like a gun for my taste. Also, this set does not come with the hat pictured, which was disappointing. Overall, I'd say $40 is way overpriced for this set.
