This 9" metal microscope is great for first discoveries. It has a quality eyepiece for viewing at 300x, 600x, and 1200x magnifications. There is both a buildt in light for direct illumination (spare bulb provided) and a mirror for ambient light. The 48-piece accessory set includes 3 prepared slides, 8 blank slides with labels, a real scalpel and other needed tools and instructions to prepare ones own slides. Sturdy plastic carrying case. This set includes the 9" H. metal microscope (MQP-35L) and the three prepared slide kits (SNT-02L, SNT-03L, & SNT-04L). Ages 8 yrs. +. Requires 2 "AA" batteries (not included).
