Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The month of October can mean many things. The weather starts to get cooler, leaves are falling from the trees, and at the end of the month, witches and zombies seem to come out of nowhere looking for candy. October certainly means all those things, but as you may or may not know, October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Many people know someone that has been affected by breast cancer. The facts show that nearly 1 in every 8 women will develop breast cancer at some point during her life. These can be scary statistics, but the good news is that there are people out there working to make a difference, and you can join them! One of the biggest trends recently in breast cancer awareness has been throwing breast cancer awareness parties.

Breast cancer party ideas are everywhere from Pinterest to being featured by Oprah. At these parties, you can donate to breast cancer cure research, buy pink ribbons, and just celebrate life.

Throwing your own breast cancer party can be easy and fun! You will need refreshments, breast cancer bracelets/ribbons, and all things PINK! If you happen to be located near one of our physical store locations, you can pick up anything you will need to throw a breast cancer party. In addition, during the month of October, the US Toy store locations will be offering customers the opportunity to donate to the Susan G Komen Research Foundation.

Breast cancer is a tragic thing that affects us and those we love, but we can make a difference. Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and work towards the cure!
